Bobby James Rogers
Murdered July 17, 1998 Lone Oak, Texas Bobby James Rogers was shot to death on July 17, 1998 by Roger Dale Hogue at Hogue's former Lone Oak residence. It is unclear what the motive was behind the deadly shooting. Obituary for Bobby James Rogers Hogue was charged with murder and convicted in June 25, 1999 for the shooting death of Bobby James Rogers and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Hogue was known to go by the nickname "Buck" and records indicate an associated business called Bucks Custom Leather located in Lone Oak, Texas. Recently out on parole for the murder of Bobby Rogers, Hogue was arrested again the night of May 20, 2015 for aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Hogue pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 40 years in prison on the aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault charges and 10 years in prison on the weapon count, with the sentences to run concurrently. As a deadly weapon was used during the commission of the offenses, Hogue will have to spend at least half of the sentences, or 20 years in prison before he will be eligible to be considered for parole.
